Visitor statistics

We measure visits with Plausible, running on our own server (plausible.cnj.digital). It uses no cookies, stores no IP addresses and does not follow visitors across websites. It only records aggregate data: pages viewed, where visitors came from, country, device type, clicks on links that leave the app, and how features are used (search method, selected filters, number of results, clicks on “Navigate” or “Things to do” with the place name). Your location is never sent.

Your location

Your location (GPS or a place you type) is used only for the search. Before it is sent to an external service, it is rounded to about 1 km:

  • OSRM – to calculate driving times,
  • OpenStreetMap Nominatim – to find the place or address you typed (the typed text is sent) and the name of your place when you use GPS.

The weather where you are comes from the forecast of the nearest place in our database, so your location is not sent to the weather service. The map loads its tiles from OpenStreetMap servers, which see your IP address and the area shown.

Search statistics

For usage statistics we keep an anonymous record of each search: the location rounded to about 1 km, the search method (GPS or typed), the number of results and the time. We do not store IP addresses, typed text or exact locations. Records are deleted automatically after 13 months.

Data controller

The data controller is CNJ d.o.o., Dunajska cesta 47, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia. For questions about data protection, access to your data or deletion, write to info@cnj.si. You can lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (ip-rs.si).
